The members of Townend Social Club have purchased a Defibrillator for the community. Situated on the right hand wall next to the front door, it is one of 6 now available in an emergency. Thanks to everyone who organised fund raising events and donated to get this fantastic piece of equipment installed. special thanks to: Lisa O’ Brien, Alan Lander, Chris Gurr, Mick Brown and thanks to Laurie Turner of LRT Electrical for fitting it free of charge. It is not just for the club but for everyone, so if anyone is of need of this in the area, come and use it.
